Domingo got Baptized on a Domingo

¡Hola! ¿Como están? Everything down here is all about the Coronavirus....and how the mission work will continue in a little bit of a different matter. If I were at home I would have never thought about these kinds of things, all I would have thought is "Great! No more church!" Jaja  But now... it's a lot more work on my part as a missionary dealing with this virus situation! Jaja It is good I'm staying busy!

This week we were told to buy 2 weeks worth of nonperishable food to prepare for a quarantine. Not sure when this would happen but it would be very difficult in our living situation and not sure how we would be able to communicate with our families.

Right now we are not allowed to contact people (no clapping in front of the houses) and can only go to houses who know us and would let us in. Contacting people is part of being a missionary but we are making the most of it!

We had a Baptism! This guy is a "Capo!" (A Stud!) Domingo Vegas is a 40-year-old with schizophrenia. When I first met him here in Ciudad Evita, I really just thought that we went to go share a nice little message and that no way he could get baptized.

To take care of his condition he Smoked...a lot. It was hard to understand what he was saying for a while and he was also taking pamphlets from the Jehovah's Witnesses... it was a little tricky. Through a Miracle from God Domingo these last 2 weeks went to the doctor and got some medication to slow everything down. He was able to drop smoking and repent for past sins. Domingo was only aloud to have his sister come to his baptism with the Coronavirus situation, but I have never seen a 40-year-old so happy to get his picture taken in front of the church. He is excited to send this picture to his mom in Paraguay and for her to see him take his steps into a completely new life. We are so happy with him and his decision to get baptized on a Domingo (Sunday) 😁!

Yesterday my comp and I blessed the sacrament 8 times walking all over the ward boundaries. After blessing and administering The Sacrament 8 times my companion and I said to each other, in castellano (Argentine Spanish) of course, "I feel very blessed after doing that." It’s been almost a year since I've blessed the sacrament just because the Latinos all have it taken care of or I was with a bunch of Priests back at home, we only have about 25 Priests at home 😂. With all the administering that occurred yesterday made me think of when the first Santa Cena (Sacrament) was done.

In Matthew 26:26-28 It discusses about some of the significance of the Sacrament and how important it is to take it every week.

26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;
28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

I first want to challenge those that choose not to take the sacrament or are unworthy to take it to look to Him.  Obviously, we all need to follow Him but when we look to Him, we only see Him and not the world full of sin and distractions. He will guide you, I promise, and He wants you to be happy, not the world.

And for those who are already taking it look at it from a different perspective. I challenge you all to think of how you would feel if you didn't partake of the Sacrament. Then you might realize how much you depend on our Savior. For me, I need him every living moment in my life because I'm not perfect and want him to lead me throughout this life. I need to have my eye single to Him.

I love you all and hope you all stay safe, and clean from the Coronavirus and Enjoy that Spring Air for me Jaja! Love you all!

Les amo mucho,

I found some Instant Mashed Potatoes!  Wondered if they came from the Church because there was a picture of a Beehive on the front of the bag.

P-Day Lunch
Lomas Saltado con Carne y Inca Cola "Knock off brand" (En Vlla Celina)
We decided to treat ourselves out to eat for a great lunch that was about $3.00 since we might be quarantined soon.
